Important people
The term “important person” too often conjures up images of powerful politicians, business leaders, well-known athletes, entertainers or others whom we term as celebrities.
In reality, every person is important. Every life is important. None is more so than another. You are just as important as any familiar face on television. And so is your neighbor.
Every person has something to contribute to life. Every person is capable of making a positive difference. Each person in this world is special and just as deserving as any other person of the richness that life has to offer.
Certainly there are those who distinguish themselves, who inspire us, who lead us, who serve us, who teach us. They are not inherently better or more important that anyone else. Rather, they have taken it upon themselves to more completely fulfill their own possibilities.
Important people are all around you, filled with magnificent potential, just as you are. Recognize and respect that importance in yourself and others, act on it, and you’ll fulfill those important possibilities that are your own.
