Make it count

Every moment you spend in pursuit of empty pleasures, every moment you spend filled with anger or envy, every moment you spend in idle distraction, is a moment that you have stolen from yourself.

Every moment you spend in focused effort, every moment you spend teaching, learning or building, every moment you spend making a positive difference, is a moment whose value you are preserving. Spend a moment, an hour or a day and it is gone. Positively invest that same amount of time and it will continue to pay dividends for a long time to come.

How much of the past hour have you invested toward your own future? How much of the past week? Enjoy each minute of life and as you do, also make it count. Rather than pursue fleeting pleasure, build lasting joy. Instead of letting time take your life from you, use that same time to bring more life to living.

Every moment the stakes are high, because those moments will never return. When you waste them away, there are never enough. Instead, make them count. Put as much of yourself as you can into each moment and there will be plenty of time for a life of greatness.
