Full of promise

Will today be part of a magnificent achievement, or will it be a wasted opportunity? The choice is up to you. There are plenty of opportunities, and there are also plenty of distractions. The progress you make will depend on where you focus your attention on a minute-by-minute basis.

It is easy to ignore the great opportunity of today, to put off taking action until some vaguely conceived time in the future. The useless, wasteful distractions can be quite compelling even in their emptiness.

To seize the opportunity of today, however, is not difficult at all. Yes, it requires effort and commitment. Yes, it requires focus, discipline and direction. Those things are easily within your reach, and you know it. You can begin, anytime you wish, to follow the path of greatness.

Today is full of promise, full of hope, full of potential and possibility. What will you do with it? The fact is, you will do whatever you decide to do. Ask yourself right now what you want from this day. Then you will make it happen.
