Make yourself useful

If life doesn’t seem to be going your way, here’s a great way to quickly brighten things up. Find a way to make yourself useful. Make yourself genuinely and enthusiastically useful, just for the sake of being helpful. And you’ll end up helping yourself as well.

Are you having trouble finding a direction for your life? Make yourself useful, and you’ll gain a valuable perspective on where best to put your focus. Are you feeling sorry for yourself, or feeling overwhelmed, or having trouble in your relationships with others? Make yourself useful and it will put a powerful positive spin on your attitude.

It’s not a magical answer to every problem, but it sure can help in a lot of different cases. Get up, get busy, make yourself truly useful and see how great you can make your world become.
