Next step is yours

Though the last step may have ended in disappointment, the next step is always yours. And the next step is what counts.

The next step you take may not seem like much. Yet it can make all the difference in the world. What matters is not so much the size of that next step. What really matters is the direction.

No matter how much life may have disappointed you, no matter how much you may have disappointed yourself, the next step is yours. And you can take that next step in whatever direction you choose.

Though it probably won’t take you very far at first, your very next step can get you headed in the direction of your most treasured dreams. Every subsequent step you take in that direction will add to your momentum. Keep going, and that momentum will become virtually unstoppable. The next step is yours, so take it in the direction you truly want to go.
