Feelings flow
It’s one thing to feel lousy. Yet it’s even worse to feel lousy about the fact that you feel lousy.
However, when you can accept and welcome your feelings, both negative and positive, those feelings lose their power over you. Stop fighting against your feelings, simply let them flow, and all of those feelings can become more valuable.
Your feelings are yours for a reason. They can tell you much about yourself and the world around you. Yet when you become a hostage to your feelings, craving certain ones and dreading certain others, even the pleasant feelings lose their positive value. If you find yourself in that position, take a step back and remember that your feelings are there to enhance your life, not to dominate it.
If you try to fight against your feelings, you’re merely giving them more power. Instead, simply allow them to flow in, experience what they offer, and then let those feelings flow on past.
Today you’ll move past a whole range of different feelings. Let them come, let them go, and find real value in every one.
