Moderation
If you don’t make any attempt at all, then nothing will be accomplished. Yet if you try too hard, you end up spinning your wheels and getting nowhere.
If you don’t eat anything at all, you will not survive for very long. If you eat too much, you can seriously damage your health.
If you’re never with a particular person, it’s impossible to maintain a relationship. Yet if you’re with that person every second of every day, you have nothing that’s fresh and new to offer the relationship.
Moderation is an essential part of living a successful life. Moderation makes the difference between something being beneficial and harmful.
Some effort is good, and more effort is better. Yet too much effort begins to have diminishing returns until it eventually becomes counterproductive.
When nothing seems to be working, see what happens when you back off a little. Moderation can very often turn things around.
