Make it your business

You’re not stuck where you are unless you choose to be. On any day, at any moment, in any situation, you can change.

If you’re moving too fast, you can slow down. If you’re going too slow, you can speed things up.

No matter how many times you’ve made the same mistake, you can choose not to make it again. No matter how often you’ve sabotaged your own efforts, you can make the choice to go ahead and succeed in those efforts.

The outside factors may be quite significant and burdensome, yet they are not what keep you stuck. The thing that truly keeps you stuck is your refusal to make the necessary effort to move forward.

Yes, it can be difficult to make progress, and yet in that difficulty is much of the value of the progress you seek. Stop making excuses and start living that value.

Choose to take responsibility, to take the initiative, and to take action. Make it your business to make real progress, and you will.
