Respect your effort
Respect your effort. If you’re going to do it, do it well, without condescension, without resentment, with focus and enthusiasm.
You owe yourself the favor and the benefit of respecting whatever you’re doing. You’re spending your valuable time on it, so invest yourself fully in it.
Respect the work you’re doing and you’ll find ways to put value into it, to get value from it. Make it worth your while by expecting it to be worth your while.
It’s easy to complain, to harbor resentment, to act rudely and to feel put out by having to do something you didn’t want to do. But the main person who is hurt by such behavior and attitude, is you.
Step aside from whatever factors made the effort necessary. Step up to the task in a positive frame of mind, and get it done.
Put yourself in control by making it your choice to do the work, and to do it well. See it for the opportunity it is, and make it the best it can be.
