Look around you
You are your own person. You are also a product of your environment. Your thoughts, your actions, your attitude, your ambition -- are largely dependent on the people and situations that surround you.
Look at your home, your yard, your desk -- the physical things that surround you. Are they well-maintained, neat and clean? Or are they messy and in disrepair? If you want to get your life focused, a good place to start is with keeping your things in order. If you’re constantly surrounded by a mess, then it is difficult to stay on track.
Look at the people that you associate with. What do they have you thinking? Where do they have you going? What do they have you reading? What do they have you becoming? You need to put yourself around people who will reinforce the goals you have set for yourself. People who will challenge you to be your best -- not people who will let you get by with being mediocre.
Seek out the people and situations that you aspire to, and associate yourself with them. Be aware that your environment has a subtle and powerful influence on you. Make sure that you surround yourself with positive influences.
