Dream big dreams

The most successful people in life are those people who dream big dreams. You must fashion your dreams as if you had no limitations. Success expert Brian Tracy recommends several ways to dream big dreams, and to transform your dreams into reality.

Use “back to the future” thinking - Imagine that you are where you want to be, and then look back and see yourself getting there. This will help you identify the steps you need to take to get there. Then all that’s left for you to do is take those steps.

Blue sky thinking - Think without any limitations. Just float through the sky and imagine what you would like to do. Think about what you would do if you could start over in life.

Rip Van Winkle exercise - Imagine that you could fall asleep for five years. During that time, everyone, everything in the world would work together to make a perfect life for you when you woke up. Think about what kind of world you would want to wake up to.

Clarify your ideals, values and goals - Get specific about your dreams. The more clear you are about exactly what you want, and why you want it, the more chance you have of getting it.

Develop a sense of destiny - Ask yourself why you are here. What is your mission in life. Think in terms of making a long-term contribution to the world.

Your dreams can take you where you were meant to go. Nurture them and pay attention to them, because they help you to understand and develop your true essence.
