Your choice

Think of all your troubles, and then think of even more. Consider all the things that could go wrong. Really dwell on the problems, real and imagined, that plague your life. Consider your health problems, you financial problems, your family problems, your job problems.

Now STOP. And realize how easily you can change your perception of the world, just by your own thoughts. By dwelling on your problems, you’ve quickly made yourself miserable. Can you feel the power of your own mind?

The great news is, you control your mind, and the thoughts therein. So now, think of all the good things in your life -- the beauty of the world around you, the love and support of those who care, your faith, your energy, your dreams, the joyful moments, the opportunities you have to make a difference.

And know that you have a choice. As each precious moment passes by, you can choose to live in sorrow, or you can choose to live in joy.
