What’s in it for them?
The best way to gain the support and cooperation of others is to ask yourself this question: What’s in it for them? A sincere and substantive answer to that question is better than money in the bank.
When you can offer real value, you’ll have no problem getting real value in return. Remember, though, that real value is more than empty promises. Real value is more than hype, more than the mere appearance of value.
Avoid focusing too much on what you’re offering or what you need. Instead, consider what they’re getting. What can you do to truly make it more valuable?
Who stands to benefit more than you from the achievement of your goals, and why? Great fortunes are made by people who can answer that question.
