No complaints
Would you be able to get through this day without complaining, either to yourself in your own mind or to others through petty gossip and innuendo? What would such a complaint-free day be like?
What if you replaced every spoken complaint with a positive suggestion? Think of the positive and productive influence it would have on your work and your relationships. Consider how it could reduce your level of stress. What if you replaced every mental complaint with a positive action? Imagine the energy you could redirect toward creative, productive pursuits when by discarding thoughts of blame and criticism. Just think of all the previously unseen opportunities you’d discover.
No, you don’t want to let people walk all over you. Rather, expect the best and refuse to waste your time and energy on useless complaints. Each time you have the urge to complain, challenge yourself to find a positive alternative. Reap the enormous benefits of constantly looking forward rather than backward.
