The easy way

The easy way out rarely is. Easy answers can be very attractive, and very dangerous. Difficult problems require solid effort and commitment. So do ambitious goals.

The danger of quick and easy solutions is that they cannot possibly address the fundamental, underlying challenges of the situation. In fact, taking the easy way out makes the situation worse. It may seem like the best choice at the moment, but it actually moves you backward instead of forward.

The more your actions are driven by expediency, the less effective they will be. One quick and easy solution will soon require another, and another, and after all that you’ll be farther behind than when you started.

Rather than doing what is easy, do what is best. In the final analysis, that is truly the easiest way out.
